Sechelt, the village I grew up in, has a few murals on the walls of some of the buildings.
This one of some of the First Nations people showing off their salmon catch is my favourite.
Ironically, the painting is done from a photo from the 1920’s or so.

The area I grew up in, and I have so few photos of the strait I grew up beside.
We take for granted what we see everyday when we are younger. Careless youth.
I had to go all the way to NYC to see something that came from the region I grew up in.

That little star down in the lower right hand corner of this map of 1950 Canada is Victoria.
A little known fact: I used to live in Esquimalt.
